Haha, havent been updating for weeks already.
Life's been fine, though stress at times.
MYE's round the corner and I need to start my revision soon.
MT prelims was fucked up.
Hell, at least I'm making progress in my other subjects.
Homecoming was a blast! Really enjoyed myself then and it's a pity it's my last year participating in it.

Promotion parade coming soon and you can't imagine how GRATEFUL I am to step down like omg~ I just can't wait! :DDD

Term One's over and it's already the March holidays.
I can't really say i have made full use of my term one but well, results from the progress report were only satisfactory.
Time really flies when you're in the graduating year,
time passing "in a blink of an eye" suddenly seems so literal.
March holidays doesn't seem like one for us this time,
Prelims tomorrow and Tues, and superteen the following three days excluding homeworks, mad balls.

Neway, yeah MT prelim's tml. Haven't really studied for it yet,
Guess i should go now.

I survived this week!

omg you wont believe how tiring this week was, but at least I felt a sense of accomplishment.

I literally crashed onto my bed on Wednesday for the first time in my school life and the bed never felt so comfortable before. and I can't believe i actually slept from 8 all the way till the next morning rofl which in the end i didn't manage to study for the next day's Amaths test.
But it's alright, the paper was manageable.
chem test result for me was cool, since I was one of the few who passed, and to think my science last time was really cmi : only failure for science during sec 1 I SWEAR i still remember jane lye saying that lorh!

Next week's gonna be a busy week: with more upcoming tests and March camp! D:
Walau I swore i handed in the consent form w/ 10bux attached to it la.. must be some poor bastard desperate for money and resulted to such actions -.-

So neway, attended amp with joel today: dating 101 interesting stuff LOL, pity next fri I'll be in camp.. :/

Hey 'sup!
I've been kinda busy with school lately which is why i lack updates here.
All's been well so far, and it's CNY!
Though every year CNY's becoming more mundane then the previous ones but oh well..
there's still ang paus to get teeheee~
Maybe gonna use that money to buy a new acoustic,
or maybe just ask my dad to sponsor me one. :/

School's fine as usual, had celebration ytd and it was rather great!
(part of it was because there was no "choo-choo-train")

Hey blog, how's life? Mine's great. Sorry for the lack of updates.
Changed my weekend tution so that i can have my full 2 day off for me to relax but in exchange i'll be having a potentially-hectic weekday. Seeing my seniors from Sec5 suffering (nearly) beyond belief I can't help it but to set my targets asap already. But of course many people regretted starting their revision a tad too late and thus having results that were so-close-yet-so-far to get into their desired college. Stress have already started building up within me and I can't help it but to countdown how many physics lessons we'll be having with zhuang or how many days left till mid years : yeah MYE might seems far now but before you know it, but your papers with results written on it will already be held by those pair of teeny weeny hands of yours, then who got the last laugh?
Shopping with kl and marcus, I've got many many stuff in mind to buy for CNY omg I'm afraid i wont have enough money how??

So the first week of school has finally ended. I'm guessing from next week onwards it's just gonna get tougher.

So yesterday had (almost) tution marathon LOL. Till the evening, met up with Marcus, Joel and Kahlun for some pool&lan. Woah, brings back memories on how we used to go there every time after comp team trainings for a few sessions of dota HAHA. Neway, pool was great! So was the LAN session!
Lost my L4D virginity yesterday(yes, yesterday,I'm not a gamer,need I say more?). Cool game, I want play some more next time!

Overall it was Saturday well spent since I manage to balance my work and gaming session, not to forget getting our ass trashed by zombies while trying to trash theirs. :/

Nothing much to update, hope tml's gonnna be a good week.

Hey blog! Just a quick update.
Second day of school and it was alright.
Air-con was shiok! Since we're the only few classes who are able to switch on the air-con manually. Day started off with tonnes of stress building up on us by the teachers.
subject teachers came in one by one and gave us advices to start early and Mr Zhuang's cool statistic shows that we have only 31 lessons with him till mid-years!*gasps!*
And only an overall of 2 months of chinese lessons before we face the big O! *gasps!gasps!*

Chinese lesson was bullshit. No seriously.
Can't believe I'm stereotyped with them. Please lorh. SHINGZ.

So the first day of school wasn't that bad. Reason being it's the first day and we got to be dismissed @ 12.45 ftw!
Didn't do much for the day as it was only class-based agenda. New class-committee and i'm the treasurer LOL. They should've known I'm not really good with money lahh, I'm afraid I'll accidentally spend the class fund/class money away unknowingly.. :/

Hey blogger!
It is about time it is my turn to welcome 2010. And being a new year, it is no doubt I have to look back and reflect upon my times spent in 2009.

Well, 2009 has been a seriously roller coaster ride for me.
To think I had screwed up my first semester of my secondary 4 year was *inserts suitable word*.
No seriously,thinking back I cannot believe I actually wasted half a semester holding on and grieving upon things that don't really affect my future.
My results were atrocious and I believe I became more short-tempered.
It was as if I lived life that was full of gloom.

But everything was alright.

It was through those things that forced me to stand up and defy gravity with the help of my friends which i really treasured beyond believe.

I flew.

My second semester was not bad.
By then I came to see things on a different perspective, tried to live life to the fullest,making the best out of everything I can with what I have.
True enough my results proved the first-semester-me wrong.
Even though my overall in the end of year might just be adequate, it was my second semester that pulled me up to be able to promote.

There's just so many people I'd like to thank that made me face the brutal reality and helped me along the way when I was lost, shaping me to who I am today. With that the year 2009 has already come to an end, and it's time to face the new year, and it's also my show to face the big Os now. No more sidetracking i swear, since I already know what I want, and what I need to get what I want.

Hey blogger, it's been nearly another week since I've logged into you yah?

This year's Christmas to me feels.. different. In a way it's still boring (since my family don't really celebrate it like we used to anymore), but the atmosphere is well, different.
Went to pool with Marcus and Deepak yesterday. Brought my gift for 29th (ima practical person :B) and went to Marcus's house to gym. Walau his condo there facils so much better than mine lah. Got cool playground in the pool for kids, fountain, jacuzzi, PROPER gym.
So after we gymed it was kinda late, like 11.30pm? So had a last minute sleepover, lols, we're always like up to these kind of things, but it's fun! :D Played pokemon on his laptop(LOL) till 3am or smth like that, and went to bed. The thing is, after lights out we're still chatting like some bitch luh seriously LOL, and i didn't know Marcus was this kind of person until last night lorh! Evil yo~
But it was fun lah, can chat until like that lols. Totally randomxzxzxz.

Went home, met mum to enroll myself to tution starting 3rd jan. Amaths and my science. I think next year I'll be like some nerd already.. after scheduling my first month, I really can't see myself giving myself some free time to use the com as much as Idid this year, which can be a good thing haha.

Then in the evening uncle treated my maternal family to seoul gardens @ City link mall. lol first ever eco-friendly shopping mall ~WOW~ And the buffet is not self-service already, you get the food by clicking on them using a computer at your assigned table lols. Headed home after that.

I'm really S.B.B manxz,( Shagged Beyond Believe, lol ) yes Marcus, my whole body's sching like mad now, and i don't know why my arms only started aching like just now?? :/

Have been pretty busy these few days. Obviously not from working nor doing homeworks. Attended the annual Student Leader Intensive '09. Well, didn't do much as a sec 4 'fresh graduates'. So i pretty much spent my whole 4d3n in the camp Laughing Out Loud, Rolling On the Floor Laughing, Rolling On the Chair Laughing, Rolling On the Sink Laughing, Rolling On the Chair Laughing Beyond Believe. HAHA. LOL,ROFL,ROCL,ROSL,ROCLBB. I'm gna start thrends by saying those already.
And believe me, I really rolled on the chair laughing lah it's damn funny talking to oreos in the camp. I could laugh and crack up some stupid gag and laugh at tht same joke for nearly half a day ftw!

Today i went out with joel, amos, and his cousin wilbur. initially intended to 'roam' around orchard road, but turns out we just walked around 313 and ION, then off to plaza sing to catch Avatar 3D!
The movie was great, for those World Of Warcraft lovers, THIS movie is a MUST catch! The graphics are astonishing, creatures are cool, and the plot was intriguing. The movie in my opinion was almost flawless except the avatar-human-relationship part. It's just ... wrong ...
All in all i'd give this movie a rating of: 4/5! (that alien-human-relationship is the cause of the lack of one point to having full marks.)
Joel's brother was being epic, I can't describe it here. But if you'd been there with us, you'd laugh too hahaha!

Alrights, this week's gna be quite busy again. parties parties and parties! :D
Besides march camp '10 tml morning, there'll be christmas party @ A's house and Marcus's/Esther's house on the 23rd and 29th respectively! Maybe gna celebrate christmas and countdown with families as well.(omg it's been damn long since we've celebrated as a family..) So i guess this week's free time is kinda fried. Gotta hurry and do my holiday homework cos' i havent started on it! kill me! bye. (:

One week passed since I last blogged. This week has been tiring. Shagged balls. Worked overtime and pretty much screwed my sleeping hours again, it's like i can leave house at 4pm for work, worked overtime till I reach home at 2am, by the time i got ready to sleep, it's already 3+ going to 4am LOL. So I'll be waking up at 2pm and have to get ready for next day's work. Funny schedule much?

So neway, SLI day 0 starts tml. And I recently just found out that there won't be the annual SL chalet like wtf seriously lorh. School must be taking away everyone's funds to repaint the school to from what i heard, red and white zomg. Sian. So much for those 'graduating ceremony' I've been waiting four years for rofl.

Finally!
fridays! omg i can't imagine how many people would have the same thinking as me.
fridays are the best, dismissing school at 12.15 and u just stay at home to rot for the rest of the days and not doing your work because u know u have an extra day to work. whatever.
mr singh recommended to us a documentary called "size me up".

it's damn intriguing i tell u!
it's about this guy who wanted to prove to us that eating fast food is bad for health
and he went of a fast food diet whereby he eats NOTHING but macdonalds for A MONTH(WTF).
yeah, breakfast, lunch, dinner.
his physical level was like above average?
and within one month with the fast food diet he had his tummy is like :O
and i seriously cannot imagine how people can grow until so FAAAAAAT~ like seriously,
i dun believe in "they're not born to be like this, it's just that their body absorbs more fat than us."
wrong. it's the diet. not ostracizing nor offending anyone here.
all in all it was a good movie lah.
at the ending they showed us in reality how much sugar and fat intake after that fast food diet was EPIC.
the fats were disgusting seriously, imagine THAT amount of fats squirming just between your flesh and muscle.

hello i just came back from sjab buddies outing!
watched harry potter and the half blood prince and was tad bit disappointed on the movie.
was actually expecting a little more luh,
too rush, like twilight, aww man...
actually the movie didnt seem like ~2.5hrs ley,
more like 1.5, but oh wells,
all in all the movie was kind of vague compared to the book itself luh,
sorcerer's stone and the chamber of secrets was still the best!

bought jap food and slacked at some open area outside j8,
played cluedo and won the first round with beginner's luck, ho!

seriously hope to find another day to go out with them again,

caught an evening movie on transformers with deepak, garey and terence on tues.
gotta say the movie was great!
filled with action pack almost every minute and i just cant seem to get enough of it,
the animation of the robot fighting were whoo! haha!

those kind of drivers are the worst,

and u know those where old ladies are trying to catch the bus,
but they cant cos they're not physically fit?
as the drivers are shutting the door,
the considerate and responsible angel/people like u tell the driver that an old lady is trying to catch the bus, they just purposely, PURPOSELY, heave out one god-damn sigh, like as if waiting for that old lady is a chore to them.

CLEVELAND - When Connie Culp heard a little kid call her a monster because of the shotgun blast that left her face horribly disfigured, she pulled out her driver's license to show the child what she used to look like. Years later, as the nation's first face transplant recipient, she's stepped forward to show the rest of the world what she looks like now.

Her expressions are still a bit wooden, but she can talk, smile, smell and taste her food again. Her speech is at times a little tough to understand. Her face is bloated and squarish. Her skin droops in big folds that doctors plan to pare away as her circulation improves and her nerves grow, animating her new muscles.

But Culp had nothing but praise for those who made her new face possible.

"I guess I'm the one you came to see today," the 46-year-old Ohio woman said at a news conference at the Cleveland Clinic, where the groundbreaking operation was performed. But "I think it's more important that you focus on the donor family that made it so I could have this person's face."

Until Tuesday, Culp's identity and how she came to be disfigured were a secret.

Culp's husband, Thomas, shot her in 2004, then turned the gun on himself. He went to prison for seven years. His wife was left clinging to life. The blast shattered her nose, cheeks, the roof of her mouth and an eye. Hundreds of fragments of shotgun pellet and bone splinters were embedded in her face. She needed a tube into her windpipe to breathe. Only her upper eyelids, forehead, lower lip and chin were left.

A plastic surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Risal Djohan, got a look at her injuries two months later. "He told me he didn't think, he wasn't sure, if he could fix me, but he'd try," Culp recalled.

She endured 30 operations to try to fix her face. Doctors took parts of her ribs to make cheekbones and fashioned an upper jaw from one of her leg bones. She had countless skin grafts from her thighs. Still, she was left unable to eat solid food, breathe on her own, or smell.

Then, on Dec. 10, in a 22-hour operation, Dr. Maria Siemionow led a team of doctors who replaced 80 percent of Culp's face with bone, muscles, nerves, skin and blood vessels from another woman who had just died. It was the fourth face transplant in the world, though the others were not as extensive.

"Here I am, five years later. He did what he said _ I got me my nose," Culp said of Djohan, laughing.

In January, she was able to eat pizza, chicken and hamburgers for the first time in years. She loves to have cookies with a cup of coffee, Siemionow said.

No information has been released about the donor or how she died, but her family members were moved when they saw before-and-after pictures of Culp, Siemionow said.

Culp said she wants to help foster acceptance of those who have suffered burns and other disfiguring injuries.

"When somebody has a disfigurement and don't look as pretty as you do, don't judge them, because you never know what happened to them," she said. "Don't judge people who don't look the same as you do. Because you never know. One day it might be all taken away."

It's a role she has already practiced, said clinic psychiatrist Dr. Kathy Coffman.

Once while shopping, she heard a little kid say, `You said there were no real monsters, Mommy, and there's one right there,'" Coffman said. Culp stopped and said, "I'm not a monster. I'm a person who was shot," and pulled out her driver's license to show the child what she used to look like, the psychiatrist said.

Culp, who is from the small town of Unionport, near the Pennsylvania line, told her doctors she just wants to blend back into society. She has a son and a daughter who live near her, and two preschooler grandsons. Before she was shot, she and her husband ran a painting and contracting business, and she did everything from hanging drywall to a little plumbing, Coffman said.

Culp left the hospital Feb. 5 and has returned for periodic follow-up care. She has suffered only one mild rejection episode that was controlled with a single dose of steroid medicines, her doctors said. She must take immune-suppressing drugs for the rest of her life, but her dosage has been greatly reduced and she needs only a few pills a day.

The clinic expects to absorb the cost of the transplant because it was experimental, doctors said. Siemionow estimated it at $250,000 to $300,000. That is less than the $1 million that other surgeons estimate it costs them to treat other severely disfigured people through dozens of separate operations, she said.

Also at the Cleveland Clinic is Charla Nash of Stamford, Conn., who was attacked by a friend's chimpanzee in February. She lost her hands, nose, lips and eyelids, and will be blind, doctors said. Clinic officials said it is premature to discuss the possibility of a face transplant for her.

In April, doctors at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston performed the nation's second face transplant, on a man disfigured in a freak accident. It was the world's seventh such operation. The first, in 2005, was performed in France on Isabelle Dinoire, a woman who had been mauled by her dog.

i mean, this kind of stuff are hard to come by,

enduring through having pieces of bone fragments in your face after being blown by a shot gun closed-ranged, leaving only a few parts of your face - that's tragic.
